Melbourne
i finally have all the pics..woohoo!!! thanks steph, we know it was a tedious job manually uploading close to 450 pics...alrite so i shall update now despite havin a high fever. don't wanna let the good memories of the trip wander off.

my top 5 fave melbourne highlights.
1. Crown Casino
i only have 1 pic from the cas? cannot be lah. you know we seriously spent like about 12hrs there. we went there for 4 consecutive nites in Melbourne. it was da bomb. on day one i got unceremoniously kicked out of the quartet cos yuey had his owen version of the holy trinity which consisted of gerald and gordon. they were doin well so when i walked by he told me to go off on my own...haha. sucker. he was joking of cos... as usual, i took it literally and walked off and that proved pretty alrite as well cos i ended up making bout 100bucks on casino wars and blackjack...me, wai yan and stephski then formed our own trinity. kinda weird ya know cos our 2 trinities seemed to clash. like me and waiyan were on a 7 game winning streak when gordon walked by. guess what? we lost...then it seems that the other trinity were doin alrite when we strolled by and handed them 2 straight losses. me and waiyan could see gordon's angry eyes staring at us, as if telling us to fuck off...haha. so we left... anyways, Casino wars is the best game on the face of the earth!!! what happens is everyone gets only a single card and so does the dealer. if ur card is bigger than the dealer's u win. geddit? yeah. simple as that... my fave dealers were michelle and roly poly who won me quite a tidy sum of money. i managed to leave the crown about 150 up after the 4 nites. not bad lah.

2. Gerald's Friend's House Party
That was a cool nite we had when Gerald invited us to his friend's house party. The apartment was rite in te centre of Melbourne about 20 floors up and the view was fantastic...makes me really wanna live there. the party wasnt wad we expected it to be but i think it turned out better. with chill out music in the background we played drinking games...which was hella fun cos i sorta went abit nuts and initiated the demise of "the green one"...we all tried to sabo her into drinking and i think she got so terrified that she ran away...poor sucker. despite her claims of wearing blue, it really looked like she was wearing green..hence her nickname. we were supposed to go clubbing after but it didnt happen...y ah? can't remember.. anyways we were all drunk (each in varying degrees tho) and since there was a police car camped on the road opposite, we had to ditch gerald's car and take the cab back instead.

3. COOKIE
i think it was the1st nite, after me and yuey made bout 100 each at the cas that we treated 80% of dinner at this wonderful place, COOKIE. its one of Melbourne's most celebrated restaurant cum bar. it serves fantastic thai food and the decor of the place is v funky and the dimness of it makes it intruging. ok im goin a little off but u have to visit the place to know what im talkin about.
4. Yarra Valley
since we were all broke and Walter the german tour guide played us out, we decided to rent a car and drive to Yarra. since gordon was the only 21 yr old, the car had to be rented under his name tho the rest of us were skeptical about his driving skills...true enuough, on the way out of the Avis car park, just 2 mins ater bein at the helm, he bumped the side window into the barrier...haha..so waiyan decided to take over the reigns... err, tensions mounted in the initial part of the drive, this time i had no part in it... after 30mins of getting stuck in a freakin gridlock cos of a screwed up map which had most streets missing, we finally made it out of the city... the 2 girls drove and navigated in the front while the 3 guys slept in the back...not quite lah since i was molested half the journey there...
the views at yarra were spectacular. we had high tea at this chateau something. forgot the name. then we proceeded for wine tastings at 2 wineries. Gordon got a little high after a couple of glasses and i think he freaked the lady serving us a little so she got a male server to replace her. heh.. i liked the champagne the best and the spaetlese riesling i bought was pretty darn good. a pity most of the wineries had already closed so we didnt get to drink ourselves silly. oh well, theres always next time.
5. PICASSO exhibition
im not really a arty farty musuem trotter but i've to say i really enjoyed Picasso. i have to say that he is a freaking weirdo. many of his art pieces were of minotaurs engaging in sexual intercourse, i think they were more funny-weird than classy. yuey and i were tryin to find out which girl was dora maar cos in some pics she looked damn ugly and in some she looked nice... after the exhibition, me and yuey wanted to possibly buy some cheapass replicas of some of his artwork but this mother kubai security guard kept chasing us off cos he wanted to close the bloody shop...asshole!
melbourne was fantastic. everything about it. no wonder its been voted the most liveable city in the world. hopefully after i get my deg in accountancy i can move there and work at pricewaterhousecoopers or sth. we'll see.
