this time around
DJ YUEYwell its been quite a while since ive contributed a proper post to this website. and now seems like a good time! basically nowadays i just dont have the time to write every couple of days..
the last few weeks have gone by so fast. last week had two huge assignments due..both on thursday. who da fuck comes up with those due dates anyway?! like they have to put two assignments, both worth 20%, due on da s 4amame day...assholes. so yeah, dat was some extreme stress. was up da night before until fiddling around wit da assignments. its amazing how i thought i did most of da work a few days before it was due, but da day before i still spent like 8 hours just tweaking it. oh well..hopefully it gets those few extra marks! but yeah, wasted da last 2 weeks with those assignments so now i have a ton of revision to do before exams, which are now less than a month away:-/ more stress..
spent 4 hours in da library noting law dis arvo...gonna spend at at least 3 days a week doin dat until swot vac..when it will then increase to 5 days!! its amazing how much stuff there is to read in law. it takes up the same amount of time doing one law subject as the 3 commerce subjects combined. eh. dunno if its worth the effort..so much time for one subject. hopefully it pays off. im bloody sick of it tho. the only interesting topic in law right now is international law, which admittedly is VERY interesting. makes me wanna work for da UN...but i cant...cuz dat would jus be copying wai yan and dats not cool.
but yeah..an interesting fact about international law for anyone (?) whos interested: a weakness of international law is dat there are very few sanctions available that are actually effective. ie. international law is very hard to enforce. for example, if u cheat tax, u get caught, pay a big fine, go to jail, and when u come out chances r u wont do it again cuz of da sanction dat was placed on u. however, if the US wants to keep terrorist suspects in guantanamo bay (as they are now) unlawfully, what exactly can the world do? u cant put a country in jail...no one is gonna fine da US now are they? they are probably breaking international law but they cant be stopped. so yeah, if u wanna break da law, make sure its international law...OK?
well da paki and da G meister have already booked their tickets to adelaide in july so dat shd b cool! stephy is comin along as well...we're gonna go up to vic from adelaide, then sydney. wanted to drive but theres plenty of reasons why dats not feasible..so prolly gonna bus it now. wy is comin too. YAY! looking forward to dat. my exams finish on june 23rd which is like damn early so i have holidays for one whole month which is wicked. altho not so wicked is dat i have 4 exams in 5 days!!!! ARGH!!
fri was susie's and kym's bday at da tap inn which is an awesome place. happy bday guys! first pub sorta place i reli like, altho i havent been to all of em in adelaide yet. had dis steak which was reli good..until i got to da second half and realized da tap inn version of medium rare is actually freakin bloody and raw!!! all good, it was still better than da steak we had at da royal hotel on mothers day. their medium rare is like ultra welldone. blah. only one place for a good steak and dats Gauchos on gouger street, cant go wrong there!! at da tap inn they have an indoor driving range which was hella fun. only da second time ive picked up a club, and da first time in 5 years, so i was inevitably rubbish. still fun tho, wanna go back there and practice my swing. golf is one of those sports u reli gotta learn...all da rich ass businessmen kno how to play and one day im gonna be one of them as well GWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! sat went to soul. had a huge bust up wit wy dat day so was planning to go out, get wasted and let off steam. inevitably we made up...she came along and we ended up not staying very long and having a quiet one. haha. i love to party and get smashed but nowadays cant do it so much, knowing i got work to do on da sunday. and my body isn't holding up too well after 2 years of abuse in singapore, dun wanna get hungover for nothin! annabelle i dun think i can keep up wit ur wild '4 parties per week' schedule! funny..it was purple nite at sould on sat..and next sat hayley's 20th is pink theme. when is someone gonna have a teal theme nite...dat wd b awesome!
saw the da vinci code yesterday...boring movie. im guessing it makes a better book than movie. so much talking blah blah blah and yeah..jus a dull show. also...i realized da story is damn blasphemous and is actually based on a few very, very big assumptions on dan brown's part which are most likely a pile of bollocks! nonetheless, the story IS interesting if u believe it, but its jus hard to present it on da big screen.
da last few days been lookin at finally gettin some decks! i mean turntables, for da uninformed. went to some fresh fm vinyl market last week and dat jus inspired me all over again. not dat i ever lost my love of music and DJing..but i guess it took a backseat for a few months to sch +no cash to get new decks. now i dun care tho..i need to start spinning again. picked up a few bargains at da market...got MJ thriller 12" for 5 bucks, and the jacksons: destiny for THREE DOLLARS! BARGAIN! picked up bodyrock by moby (classic) as well. some dude was selling a michael jackson doll..haha...fenton nearly made me buy it...but nah...30 bucks 4 dat was pushing it. da snags there were ace as well. and there was dis hot, sophisticated, exotic lookin business woman there, wit da heels and blazer and all.. by herself...buying house vinyls!!!! OMG...is there nething more breathtaking and beautiful in life??!?! heh. anyway some guy down at hope valley, not too far from my place, is telling a pair of technics 1210s so mite go down and have a look at them in da next few days. think im gonna shift my style slightly to include deep house. deep and funky house go well together...anyone reading this go d/l miguel migs stuff...its awesome..low key house.
eh...better go to sleep. tomorrow is another long day...4 lectures and alot of law to do for da seminar on wednesday. its neverending these days! peace...dj yuey..
