sleep + H2O = not feelin like crap
DJ YUEYwho needs modern medicine?! been down wit this terrible lung infection for the last few weeks...tried so many different inhalers...pills..wateva... after da party on fri and jb on saturday, by sunday i felt like some torn up rag dat just wiped fopo's ass. then on sunday nite went out to dinner wit captain darren and he gave me some simple words of advice: all ya need is
sleep and H2O! yup, its dat simple. drink a crapload of water BEFORE sleep...sleep..then get up and drink another few litres. spend some idle time doin nothin..then REPEAT! been doin dat for 2 days now while on mc..and feel a million times better!!!!!!!!! woohoo...actually a bit hypo now!!!!!!!! HWAJHWAKLJWAKLALAJWLJAWLS
so wats been happenin da past few days..umm fri nite was my bro's birthday party. some ppl thot it was my goin away party...umm..no...it wasn't. haha. was a decent nite aside from da fact none of my gps of frens reli talk 2 each other but yeah wateva..cant please everyone eh? i was spinning again..this time to an APPRECIATIVE crowd (unlike those lamers at ngee ann poly) and jus wen it was all goin nice and dandy..guess what? da freakin amps blew!!! looks like im fuckin cursed or somethin. dis time it wasn't out of da blue tho. i jus dropped billie jean which is my bro's fave song then he came over and turned up da volume even tho i vehemently protested. the levels on da mixer went red and da rest is history! no mood afta dat so when da amps came round my bro's fren brayan spoun some deep house stuff which was cool.
saturday went to jb wit black, poon and keith. picked up tons of dvds. came across
'shattered glass', starring hayden christensen. been wanting to watch dat show for a while now so was pleasantly surprised wen i saw it. its based on the true story of a New Republic writer who fabricated 27 out of 41 articles he wrote between 1995 and 1998. hayden plays da role perfectly. da way my feeling towards da character changed from admiration (at da start when he appears to be a young, successful upstart) to hate (at the end when u realize he's jus a screwed up pathological liar) was testament 2 wat a great show it was. da scenes where he was being busted felt jus as awkward as they must have felt in real-life. a cool sort of discomfort. i highly recommend dis show to everyone! if u want 2 borrow da dvd let me kno...
after watchin da show tho..i was thinkin about it and i didn't reli hate da guy nemore. i felt more pity... da reasons y someone would fabricate articles the way he did to further his career. greed..desperation for love..admiration..respect? da guy must have had some self-esteem issues when he was younger. the weird thing is all of us probably lie like this...for the same reason..but just not on the same scale. im sure all of us can remember a time when we told a few white lies for any of the above reasons...blah..we're all human. anyway..the guy now graduated from law school. he must be a damn good lawyer eh? lying da way he does.
oh yeah...jb...da food was fantastic..and dang cheap too. wen i first came to singapore i thot da food was already cheap enough compared to australia...JB is like another level cheaper. da bloody sugar cane was less than a dollar and was freakin MASSSIVEE!!!! missed out on da karting this time..which is actually da main reason i wanted to go..we went too late...so next time then. i found it amazing how different jb was too singapore..and they're only separated by a 5 minute drive. it may as well have been the other side of the world. no offense intended...but it felt 20-30 years behind singapore...i guess we can count ourselves lucky dat we live in such a developed country. kudos to singapore!
damn my place looks a lot better wen its clean. spent some time cleanin 2day wit my mum and it looks da bomb. hope it stays this way for more than a week...
anyways better sleep now playin tennis 2m..some much needed exercise! peace...dj yuey
